We all know that so-called net contribution clauses are a ‘good thing’. Over the years, we’ve all heard of them, either from colleagues, friends in the industry or our legal teams. Whichever way, the idea has always been that it should form an important part of limiting a consultant’s liability and, if we can, getting a net contribution clause into our professional appointments or warranties is going to be smiled upon by our risk management teams.
