In 2014 81% of companies reported some form of security breach at a cost of between £600,000 and £1.5m per organisation (GOV UK - Information Security Breaches Survey1). Socially or politically motivated, cyber attacks are carried out primarily through the internet and are designed to target an organisation’s computer systems and the information they hold; as such these malicious attacks from the internet can cause far-reaching reputational and financial damage to organisations.
